As the Discord administrator for the PvP game "Tanki Online", the developers had tasked us with creating a system to allow players to report bugs and glitches within the game. The game previously tried to use their forum website, however that is inactive and requires people to create a login and use a legacy system. It also proved to be difficult in terms of logging data and allowing the Tester team to communicate effectively with the reporter.
When we were given the brief, we knew that ticket bots had already existed in Discord but integrating them with the other bots we already had in the server, and making sure permissions were kept to strictly confidential, as some bugs being exposed could result in an exploitation.
During my 6-month contract at DP World, part of my responsibilities was to send out weekly and daily reports to senior management. I soon caught on as the style of reporting stayed the same each week, I could automate a few of these tasks, saving myself valuable time and also learning a new skill. The flows I created are still being used today, and I was even able to train my handover staff how to use the basic functions.
I created a few Flows, a few of them using the same skeleton but with minor tweaks, and some Flows required me to start from scratch.
As a Social Media manager for the EN community of the game "Tanki Online", we have a Facebook page, Instagram account, YouTube channel and Discord server. We also recently added a subReddit to increase our diversity on all platforms.
With all of these platforms, we have to ensure our moderation team are able to help out with all the requests, questions and queries and are able to direct them them to the relevant departments.
The other Admin and myself decided to create an Excel sheet, that links with our in-house systems of measuring the moderator's activity. Using the data in Excel, we are able to find medians and averages to determine, who is inactive and who is going above and beyond. We can also see how many messages they send per month as well as their history. All of this information is relevant as the Community Manager requires it, and we require it to determine who is eligible for the Helper of the Month award.
